—“DIGGNATION” AND “THE TOTALLY RAD SHOW” SCORE TWO “PEOPLE’S VOICE” WINS; “TEKZILLA” RECOGNIZED AS OFFICIAL HONOREE AT 12TH ANNUAL WEBBY AWARDS—
San Francisco, CA (TK) – Revision3, the TV network for the Internet generation, was honored with two Webby Awards in the People’s Voice category for hit shows “Diggnation” and “The Totally Rad Show.” The People’s Voice category allowed Webby enthusiasts to vote for their favorite nominees. “Diggnation” and “The Totally Rad Show” won People’s Voice awards for Technology and Variety in the Online Film and Video genre. Revision3 was also named an Official Honoree in the technology category for “Tekzilla.”
“We at Revision3 couldn’t be happier with our Webby wins this year,” said Jim Louderback, CEO of Revision3. “It is one thing to be recognized by top industry experts, but to be honored by our fans is the ultimate reward.”
“Diggnation,” an irreverent news review show hosted by tech geeks and pop culture gurus Alex Albrecht and Kevin Rose, was first launched in 2004 and is based on the top news stories from digg.com. “Diggnation” has more than 150 episodes available online and garners over 200,000 viewers per episode. The show consistently ranks among the top Internet videos available from the Apple iTunes Store.
“The Totally Rad Show” is Revision3′s explosion of movie, video game, TV and comic news and reviews. Four dudes in a garage. One green screen. A cubic ass-ton of enthusiasm. It is about the excitement in finding a piece of entertainment you love, or the pain in realizing something isn’t as rad as you had hoped.
“Tekzilla” makes your tech work better for you. On “Tekzilla,” host Patrick Norton, who has written hundreds of product reviews for the likes of PC Magazine, CNet, PC World, CPU and TechTV, and co-host and Web phenomenon Veronica Belmont, deliver reviews, computer help and tech tips on everything from iPods to camcorders, plus do it yourself projects.
Revision3 is the first media company that gets it, born from the Internet, on-demand generation. Unlike aggregators, mash-ups, and user-generated video sites, Revision3 is an actual TV network for the Web, creating and producing its own original, broadcast-quality shows.
