Goodbye to The Digg Reel

September 28th, 2010 at 03:30 by Rob Saurini in Announcements, Shows

Even in the amazing world of new media and internet television, all good things must come to an end. Digg Reel viewers saw on yesterday’s show that this will be the show’s last week. After two and a half years and over two hundred and sixty episodes, we’re saying a heavy hearted goodbye to this show that’s helped to define a genre: the internet clip show. Andrew Bancroft brought his unhinged creativity and tireless work to the show over these past couple of years. Other hosts like Annie Gaus and Jessica Corbin (when the show launched) have also brought amazing talent to the studio and turned in one great episode after another.

However, certain realities exist in any media company: how much can we do at once? We’ve had to make the exceptionally difficult decision to stop making this show in order to make room for new projects we’ll be announcing in the coming weeks.

I want to thank Andrew and Annie for their unending commitment to the show and also to the production staff of producers and editors who made the show for you every week. Annie is going to be taking lead on one of our “new projects” coming soon, so stay tuned for that AND you’ll keep seeing her on App Judgment.

We’re always looking to bring you guys the best possible programming the online world has to offer. Sometimes this means making really tough decisions but we hope you’re going to love everything we have coming down the pipe.

Never Miss An Episode! New E-Mail Alerts

September 27th, 2010 at 01:41 by Michele Husak in Announcements, Website

We know how it is. You’re busy. You’ve got things to do and it’s easy to miss when an episode of one of your favorite Revision3 shows comes out. We understand and want to help! Today we’ve released new functionality on Revision3.com to send you personalized e-mails every time one of your favorite shows is released.

Now don’t worry, we’re not just going to start sending you e-mail without your permission. We wouldn’t do that! You’ll have to log into your account on Revison3.com and go the Alerts tab in your preferences. There you can sign up to start getting your e-mail notifications for when your favorite show releases a new episode.

In order to get these e-mails, you’ll have to make sure to identify your favorite shows. You can do this by hitting the “Add to my favorites” button on any show page, or you can navigate to your Favorites in your Account and select all the shows you want to identify as your favorites.

Then every day one of your favorite shows releases a new episode, you’ll get a handy e-mail which will keep you up to date. You can always choose to not receive these e-mails, just by going back to your Alerts and selecting to turn off the e-mails.

We hope you enjoy this new functionality of Revision3.com and that it help you to continue to enjoy all of our great shows!

thanks.
